How will I achieve the Award and how is it delivered?

The Award will be delivered in a number of ways, including workshops and self-study, and is outlined below.

A 2-day workshop which requires some specific pre-work with your learners and sets out the following:

  • an overview of NVQs
  • the role of the assessor
  • assessment methods - observation and questioning
  • planning of assessment
  • feedback techniques
  • appeals and complaints – processes and procedures
  • quality assurance

You will then have the opportunity to put into practice all you have learned during the following 6-weeks before attending:

A 1-day workshop to review your progress, share experiences, discuss best practice and undertake preparation for the assessment plan.

The assessment plan will be agreed between you and your ENTO Direct Assessor who will provide ongoing support throughout the process through on-line and telephone support to ascertain progress with activity in the plan and give support as appropriate.

Finally:

A visit, by the ENTO Direct Assessor, will take place at the place of work where you conduct assessments, to undertake a review of your assessment plan, observation and feedback of assessment with at least one of your learners and you will be required to conduct a professional discussion with your assessor.

Providing all competences are met the Assessor will apply for certification from the Awarding Body.
